RedEye has an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Software Test Engineer to join the Testing team in Crewe.

This is an entry level position, which would be ideal for someone who has an enthusiasm to develop their Testing skills and progress their career. The key skill you’ll need and want to develop is the ability to think critically to identify inconsistencies.

• Testing software solutions to verify, and provide information on, product quality using exploratory testing techniques.
• Communicating test results and progressing this information to the relevant team(s) and internal stakeholders.
• Working in a sprint team and participating in the sprint meetings.
• Developing and executing test scenarios with little guidance.
• Reporting defects so that they can be reproduced, working collaboratively with developers and product owners to see defects resolved.

Skills you’ll need

• Can communicate effectively (verbal and written) with stakeholders within the business.
• Basic understanding of web application functioning fundamentals.
• Basic programming and scripting skills e.g. JavaScript, PHP, HTML/CSS.
• Basic understanding of databases e.g. Oracle DB, SQL.
• Able to plan and perform UI based testing.
• Apply critical thinking skills and behaviours in daily activities.
• Have an understanding of user behaviour and can develop appropriate test scenarios accordingly.
• Have a willingness to learn and continually improve your technical skills.
